Purāṇas
In Sanskrit literature, the Purāṇas stand as a great corpus of sacred texts that comprehensively express devotion, creation, divine play, dharma, and philosophical inquiry. Expanding the meaning of the Vedas through narrative form, they present the nature of the Supreme, the līlās of His incarnations, and the path of devotion in a manner that is accessible even to the ordinary seeker. This is the distinctive strength of the Purāṇas.
Within the Purāṇic tradition, the glory of the Lord, His compassionate nature, the condition of the individual self, and the importance of righteous living are explained in detail. These texts are not merely stories, but appear as the essence of śāstra that guides one toward right practice. Thus, they become an important foundation for study, recitation, and daily remembrance.
In this section, the Purāṇa texts will be presented systematically in a manner aligned with tradition, suitable for both study and recitation. In the initial phase, priority will be given to major Purāṇas such as ŚrīmadBhāgavatam. Thereafter, other Purāṇas will also be added in the same sequence.
At present, only the titles are indicated in this section. As individual Purāṇas are initiated, their respective content will be added progressively in accordance with tradition.
